"How To Make Money
Online"
By Edward "Mr Ed" Thorpe
As my Grandpop used to say:
"There's more
than one way to make money online..."
Well, no, what he actually said was:
|
|
|

"Helping Online Entrepreneurs Since 2001" |
|
|
"There's more than one way to skin a cat..."
But if he was still with us,
and because he was a sensible, reflective and
self-made man, I'm pretty sure he'd agree with my 1st quote:
"There's more
than one way to make money online..."
|
|
|
The
fundamentals of making money are clear and readily
available to anyone who's willing to search them out.
Personally, I've shared the steps to income
generation more times than I wanna count.
On the
other hand, I still want to make more money online and I'm
guessing you want to as well?
If you'll
listen, I can
show you how. But, I can't do it for you. And I can't
guarantee you anything. To be clear, the kind of earning strategies
I'm talking about are not how to make a series of
one-time sales.
And,
I'm not talking about product creation or some top
secret that only a chosen handful of selected online 'gurus' have. <In case
you missed it, the preceding sentence is an example of
that new fad called sarcasm>
What I am
talking about is for you to start using your native abilities that up to now
you may have over-looked...
At the end of the day, everything you get outta life, and
outta your business, eventually comes down to your work attitude,
and your
willingness to have faith in your eventual success...
You'll also need:
If you
want to succeed in business, you'll have
to accept you must sell what people want, or what
they're already buying, if you want to make money online, or
elsewhere.
You also
have to understand your long-term success depends on
your knack of making
repeat sales to your existing customers.
And, in
order to create repeat customers, you must give them
more value than they gave you.
Opps, I'm getting
ahead of myself...
To have a business made up of repeat customers, you first
have to get a customer, don't you? Getting a customer,
is the one area I notice many would-be online business
owners failing at miserably.
During my 6 - 7 years online, I've seen online marketers
make a lot of fast money with a good product or service,
and then be nearly broke a year later because they
didn't do any further marketing to their customers. In
other words, they weren't prepared to follow up with
customers and make related offers to turn them into
repeat buyers.
What a shame, huh?
More
shameful is the people whose business is based on
selling inexperienced novices false hope. What other
businesspeople do is mainly none of my concern, but I
don't believe in conning people into wasting their money
on false hope. Personally, I think we can all do better
if we stick with basic certifiable business building
principles and methods and not get caught up in the
latest marketing fads.
While we're already
talking candidly, from
working with part-timers I
believe 90 - 96 out of every 100 people who think
they want a part-time business, second income or want to
make money online will fail.
Let's face facts, i t's
incredibly difficult for someone with a full-time job, a
family and a social life to get a profitable
online/offline business going.
The
odds are stacked against them.
To make
matters worse, the Internet offers so many opportunities
to make money, it's next to impossible for part-timers
to focus on one project until they learn how to start
making money with it.
It's no secret that m any
part-timers dump projects and start new ones faster than
a politician changes their mind. This lack of commitment
is understandable. It's part of our makeup to think the
grass is always greener on the other side of the fence,
isn't it?
Maybe the
grass is greener, but you'll still have to take care of
it. So you may as well stay in your own yard and make
your grass better...
Rather
than starting over!
Think
about this a minute: Why do you think you can make a
full-time living online, when
you haven't yet made your first profit of $1?
The truth
is, you can't make 10 bucks until you've made 1. And,
you can't make 100 dollars until you've made 10. My
Friend, this is your own commonsense talking here.
It's a
truism you won't make your first $1 if you keep jumping
to business model/biz opportunity one after another.
It's also
a truism that you're going to fail more than you'll
succeed. You will find, in fact, it will probably take
you longer to make your 1st dollar of profit than it
will to make your first 100 dollar profit. You won't
earn your first buck by quitting what you're now doing
and start out fresh again.
On the
same time,
if you're
failing after 6 - 7 months at what you're now doing (IF
you're focusing all your business efforts on one
project) you do need to realize your project is a dud or
your methods need changing.
For
example, one thing you must have going for you is
emotional and believable sales copy.
That's
why I recommend Mark Hendricks copywriting tutorials.
Getting Mark's help will not make you a hotshot
copywriter. You will still have to put in the work of
following his system. But hey, life works that way...
You get
what you earn...
